It has a great chile and pepper flavor without just being HOT.
I like my food bold and spicy. I wouldn't consider myself a "pepperhead" or anything like that, I just enjoy stuff spicier more often than not. I've tried a handful of hot sauces, but I come back to Gringo Bandito. It's hard to describe, but a lot of hot sauces, in my opinion, fall into two camps: just plain hot, or just plain vinegar. Gringo Bandito has FLAVOR and heat. Too many hot sauces try to be too hot for their own good and just fail at tasting good. Gringo Bandito delivers the pepper flavor and spice without just setting fire to your taste buds. The O.G. variety pack comes with 2 bottles of "original", one bottle of "green", and one bottle of "super hot". I've been buying the original from our local grocery store for years, but because of 2020's global meltdown, we're visiting the store a lot less. I bought the variety pack from Amazon here to try out the other flavors. Original is tried-and-true. A nice level of heat without a ton of vinegar punch. It's spicy and a little smokey. It's hotter than Tabasco or Cholula, but not unbearable by any means. Green actually comes off spicier than original, at least to me. It's got a lot more of that green chile flavor up front with a lot more burn on the back end. It's got serrano and habanero in it. Green is the flavor king out of the bunch. Super Hot is just that, SUPER HOT. It's one of the hotter sauces I've tried, but again has a nice pepper/chile flavor that isn't overwhelmed with burn. The Super Hot is made with Scorpion pepper, which to my knowledge, I've never eaten until now. A tiny bit will go a long way. For those that care, Gringo Bandito was created and is owned by the lead vocalist "Dexter" Holland from punk-pop band The Offspring. Next to 1994's album SMASH, this is the best thing he's done.

Favorite hot sauces
I pretty much live off of this hot sauce. I put it in everything. I love the flavors and the different levels of heat that each one has.

Great All Around Sauces
All these sauces have great flavors that are balanced well. The spice, the peppers, the vinegar, the heat, any sweetness; None of them overwhelm you or overpower the others. They all play their roles and make for good sauces. If I had to complain I would say the "Super Hot" is what I would consider just plain old regular hot. But I'm willing to make that sacrifice for the more balanced flavor. In fact, I would say that the Super Hot is a better all around sauce than "Original" because it has the right level of heat for a regular sauce. The green is easily my favorite though. Green sauces are easier to miss with in my opinion. They're harder to get right as a straight 'hot sauce' since fresh green salsa is so delicious in comparison. So when one is this good, it is indeed GOOD good. Tons of flavor. It's mild while still being most definitely a hot sauce. It is always the first bottle to be emptied. I was gifted these sauces once and have returned to them a few times now. I would call them my "go to" or regular sauces, but they go so much faster than anything else I have that I'm out of them more often than not! I'm cheap and I can say the price ain't bad for what you get as far as quality is concerned. I've paid way more for infinitely worse. Big thumbs up if you're looking for versatile and flavorful daily drivers that won't have you sweating.

Not overly spicy but great flavor!
The Gringo Bandito O.G. Hot Sauce Variety Pack is a must-have for any hot sauce lover! Each bottle delivers the perfect balance of heat and flavor, with a unique twist that makes them stand out from other sauces. The original O.G. flavor is tangy and bold, while the other varieties offer their own distinctive kick. I love that these sauces aren’t just about heat—they bring real depth and complexity to whatever you're adding them to. Whether you're using it on tacos, eggs, or just about anything, Gringo Bandito brings the perfect punch of flavor. Great quality, amazing taste, and perfect spice levels—highly recommend!

It's wonderful on the right kinds of food.
I'll admit, I bought this primarily because I'm both a pepperhead and an Offspring fan. I don't know if I would have sprung for it otherwise, but I'm glad I did. In terms of heat, the original is comparable to Tapatio or Valentina: it's no slouch but it's not going to fry your taste buds. It ain't Dave's Insanity Sauce but it ain't Texas Pete either. Verde is quite a bit less intense, and the extra-hot is only a little bit more. The flavor of both the original and extra-hot is very heavily spiced. It's very cumin-forward, and I can taste other spices in there too. While there's some vinegar flavor, it's not as intense as something like Crystal or even Tapatio. (Frankly I like a vinegar-forward sauce but I know not everyone does.) Verde is fairly vegetal, which works well. Overall, it's quite opinionated. It doesn't work on every food because it's so spiced. However, it would be brilliant on Tex-Mex food or others that have similar flavor profiles.

Too much Vinegar.
I bought this one largely due to the number of "good" reviews that said it wasn't vinegary... I feel they were a little too generous. Pro's: The flavor is pretty good if you can ignore the vinegar. The "spicy" seems just about perfect for the different varieties. Medium is medium.. Hot is hot without being just hot without flavor. Mild was mild to the point that I barely used. CON Vinegar! Really when I go to a taco stand there is almost no vinegar flavor in the hot sauce... why is it that online vinegar is a primary ingredient?!! The tone is very similar to the hot wings vinegar effect. If you want that then you will like but I did not.
