QUITE IMPRESSIVE FOR A 36-TOOTH BLADE
Purchased the PORTER-CABLE 4-1/2-Inch Circular Saw Blade, Plywood Cutting, 120-Tooth (12057) two years ago for my DEWALT ATOMIC 20V MAX* Circular Saw, 4-1/2-Inch DCS571. I was hoping that the 120-tooth blade by Porter-Cable would give me clean cuts. Unfortunately, this wasnโt the case. It had difficulty cutting through 0.7185 baltic birch wood. It was never smooth sailing. At first I thought I had a defective circular saw, however, it wasnโt the case when I had installed the original Dewalt blade that came with the saw. I purchased 7 (4โ x 8โ) sheets of melamine from L0w3โs a couple of days ago (mainly using them for garage shelving). I decided to check what type of blades available that would cleanly cut (or at least minimize tears) melamine sheets. This would only be my second time to work with melamine board/sheets. The last time I had a project using melamine was 4 years ago. I had used my Hitachi 7-1/2 circular saw with a 60-tooth blade. I didnโt have a problem with a 60-tooth blade, but the cuts were certainly not as clean as I would have liked. Thisi Freud D0436X Diablo 4-1/2-Inch 36 Tooth ATB Cordless Trim Saw Blade with 20-Millimeter Arbor and 3/8-Inch Reducer Bushing showed up on my search for a 4-1/2 circular saw blade on Amazon that can tackle melamine board. I thought this has got to be a mistake because this Freud has only 36 teeth. I read the reviews and I decided to give it a chance. I ordered it yesterday. It arrived this morning. I just finished cutting 3 sheets already (16โ x 48โ). As you can see from the photo I attached, the cut is quite impressive for a 36-tooth blade. I have been using FREUD for all my tools but today was the first time I used a 4-1/2 36-tooth blade by FREUD. Iโve always been impressed with FREUD. This 36-tooth 4-1/2 blade certainly didnโt disappoint. I highly recommend. Iโm going to purchase at least 2 more of this 36-tooth 4-1/2. Itโs that good.

Like all Diablo blades this works beautifully (and I love my 4 1/2" saw)
If you do carpentry, you already know that Diablo blades are great. This is really a recommendation to get a 4 1/2" saw. This is the second tool I thought would just be useful for one job, requiring some special application. The first was an oscillating multi tool (I bought a Harbor Freight unit to use the pointy sanding pad to get into tight corners - it was a waste of time) - when I used it to make a plunge cut, I was devoted to the tool. Now I have and use my DeWalt unit a LOT. The DeWalt 4 1/2 " saw was purchased to get in and rip the rot off the edge of some studs - the long skinny configuration was perfect. I found that this saw is VERY steerable and since it cuts through 1 1/2" material, it's very versatile too. It's light, makes beautiful cuts, is very easy to hold on a line and I love the thing.

good blade, but didn't initially fit my craftsman C3 saw.
it seems like a nice blade and cuts like a champ, I did a bookcase project, mostly out of 3/4 ply, for my brother and his wife the other day and did most of my cutting with my craftsman C3 cordless saw with a lithium battery, the battery lasted quite a while and the cuts were clean, the only real problem, is the bushing was about a thousandth of an inch off from the arbor on my saw, I used a sharp knife and carefully scraped away some metal till it fit the arbor, not sure if it's because of craftsman or Freud, but I either way it works now, and I can detect any anomalies in the blade performance such as wobble or funny sounds. pro's super sharp and clean cuts con, didn't exactly fit my "3/8" arbor.

Nice saw blade
Just put it on my saw and seems to be doing an outstanding job ripping a 2x4 length-wise.
