After the Tagua lose all their moisture they become rock solid, then they are placed in a tumbler that shaves some of their brown rind, to obtain a "half polished" finish: ivory white with brown streaks (which is the leftover rind). The dark brown rind contrasts beautifully with the revealed white ivory of the Tagua seed. These are very smooth, just like ivory but botanical, similar to worry stones, great to carry around in your pocket or just to have at home.
