If you need to cover up the smell of dead rodent or musty basement...this is the product you need! Works fantastic. The instructions are not kidding it will damage surfaces so keep it on glass. Has a very pleasant spicey fragrance that doesn't overwhelm.

We live in a 20-year-old home with a wood-burning fireplace, and we are heavy fireplace users - during the fall and winter, we use our fireplace 5-6 times a week. I love a good fire. The downside? As soon as the temperature goes over 60 degrees, or if the weather is moist and conditions are right, our family room becomes almost unbearable with the strong soot and fireplace smell. I have closed the flue, tried baking soda, charcoal, deodorizing beads, you name it...and nothing worked. I bought this with low expectations, since nothing I had tried had worked so far. As directed, I put 5-6 drops of oil on a cotton ball and placed it behind a candle in the tray I put in the fireplace during the warmer months. Within two hours, the smell was gone. I couldn't believe it. I kept leaving the room and returning, thinking that perhaps I had simply lost my ability to smell it, we've had the fireplace stench for so long. No, it worked. I will say, however, that after a few days it loses its efficacy, so I simply add 5-6 more drops to the cotton ball, or change it out with a new one. I'm guessing our fireplace odor must be much stronger than the reviewer who stated that their bottle will last a lifetime. :-) I hadn't thought to use it in the bathroom...I am a strong believer in PooPourri...but that is another review. The idea of putting the drops in a glass shaker from another reviewer is great. Another idea: put drops in actual dried potpourri, or in a small decorative crystal bowl, out of reach of children. I rarely write reviews, but when I come across a product that works so well, and actually does what it says it will...I just have to share. This solved a huge problem for me, and that is worth sharing.

Great product. It’s expensive but works. I had a tenant that left strong odors from cooking … it took care of the problem. I also used years ago for sour milk left in the trunk of a car! Great product !

I have been using this product for 25 plus years and it works, it really works. When I first started to use this I bought it at True Value for about $3.00. They also had a cleaning solution which I used to clean up after my cats were sick all over the house, it worked so great, but I do not see it sold anymore. I also used the spray a lot. My problem is that I refuse to pay this price for this small bottle. I will go with water & soap and hope for the best from now on.

This works really well. I've used it in several rooms and it does eliminate the odor (at least until you can thoroughly clean/dry whatever the culprit is). There is one odd thing about it, though. This may sound weird, but I can't be in the same room with it for long or it affects my taste buds. Suddenly, everything has a sour twang to it. Even if I just lick my lips, there's that odd sour taste. Oh, I can enter and exit a room with no effect, but if I stay in a room with a little saucer holding a few drops... nah, that ain't gonna work. I know -- weird, right? I am sensitive to fragrances and many soaps, so maybe it's just me. Still, I'll keep using it when I need it. Good product.

I live in an apartment, and in the cold months of winter, the large room I mostly stay in, cost a lot to heat. I decided this year to move back into a small back room, that I usually do not use. I figured this little room would be a lot cheaper to heat during the winter months. Sadly when I first started heating this room and staying in it, the whole room stunk pretty badly from cat urine. It is all carpeted and looks to be pretty old. I know the neighbor on the other side of the wall has cats, so they probably pee along the walls like cats do and the urine has seeped along and under the wall, anyway, the odor was stinking pretty bad even in my room on this side. I bought a orange scented odor scent from a local store, but it did nothing to stop the cat urine smell, in fact the smell of the cat urine, quickly overpowered the orange scent. I got this product 'Odors Away' from Amazon, and it is incredible! I followed the instructions and placed a few drops inside a glass, and sit it in one of the back corners of the room. By that night, all of the cat urine smell was completely gone. The 'Odors Away' seems to have a very nice pleasant peppermint type odor when I squeezed a few drops into the cup, but when using, I do not smell any scents, it seems to work like it says it is, a odor neutralizer. If you are battling very strong odors such as cat or dog urine, dead rodents in the walls etc., I recommend this product!

This is a great product. I put a few drops on an over-turned glass bowl on a high shelf, down where the litter boxes are. There is now no litter odor, ever. Even when I come home from a long day, which means the boxes are going to be full of poop (four cats), I do not smell anything but the slight allspice smell. Amazing. Simply amazing. A couple of people complained about the odor of the Odors Away. To me, the product has a slightly spicy smell, like allspice. Not overpowering by any means, (and I have a sensory intolerance disorder including smells) and certainly more pleasant than cat poop! I haven't even had to add drops yet, and it's been a week since I first put the drops out.

This air cleaner is wonderful. I will definitely buy more when I run out. I have neighbours that smoke, so I put a ceramic container with a few drops in it, in the corner where the smoke comes in, and this air cleaner works wonders. I also use this around the basement to clear up smells in the laundry room, bathroom, sons' room, and pet cage. (Doesn't affect animals at all, as per information on back of the bottle). At first, the smell of Odors Away is strong, however, after only an hour or so, it is very subtle. I only use 2-3 drops every three days or so, and that is enough to keep things smelling fresh. I would recommend this to anyone who have strong and unpleasant odors around the house to get rid of.

Well, does this product do what it says it does? Absolutely. It said add a few drops to clear the odor from an average room. I put a few drops into a glass container and waited 15 minutes, then added a few more. I used way too much and should have been more patient. A few drops not only cleared a very humid and difficult to air out bathroom, it also cleared the entire hallway to the floor below. I have been trying to find a solution for this space for six years! Finally found it!

This little bottle clears out a whole lot of Odors! There are smokers in the house - and this really helps get rid of the smell! I'll be buying this again!

I originally bought spray version of Odors Away and was extremely satisfied. When it came to reorder it was not available so I purchased this version instead. Completely useless and is not returnable. Do not buy!!
