Detective Club: Mysteries for Young Thinkers (Grades 2-4) Paperback – January 1, 2005

This book has lots of good logic puzzles. Our boys are 8 and it's a little above them. I am going to try again in about 6 months and I think they will be more age appropriate (ie the right amount of challenge without being too difficult).

For advanced students of teachers.

I am a gifted elementary teacher. I teach a weekly second grade enrichment group. My students LOVE these mysteries. They are so excited every week to come to class to be detectives. I'm thinking of ordering one of the follow up books for my third grade group.

This is a book that has been overly trimmed to be waaaaay too small. It is completely unusable. Text and even the solving grids are cut off. It is a disgrace to sell something in this damaged condition. Shame on the seller. This should never have been sent out. And it was not an accident. I returned the first one and they sent another trimmed exactly like the first. (And it’s so unfortunate, because actually the book is excellent. I have used it before. Grades 2-4 love it. So fun and educational.) So, buyer beware. I’d recommend getting a used copy so it’s the proper size!

I could never figure out how to do the matrix puzzles like this. This helps with easy ones and moves to more difficult. Due to this book I've finally conquered this concept and had fun doing it!

I has this author as a teacher in the 1980s. Always loved these types of challenges as a child and my daughter thinks they are great too. So thankful she is still sharing this knowledge.

My 4th grader loves this book-- she really sees herself as a detective. As you go along they get trickier and harder... great book!

Such bad quality job. The pages were all cut off on the side. No complete page. How can you approve selling/sending this?
