Orion 7952 Narrow-to-Wide Dovetail Adapter Plate

This is a very well made vice to allow losmandy dovetail mounts to be fixed onto Vixen style narrow telescope mounts. For the price you get a quality machined device that looks good doing its job. The knobs are large and easy to set. No complaints. Quality product.

Got this to Fit C8 with Losmandy rail to a CG5 mount with Vixen receiver. Works perfectly. Nicely machined and finished, very secure. The only negative is it is a bit on the heavy side. If you are near the weigh limit of your mount could be an issue but there is a lot of room for weight reduction with a little stock removal.

Expensive but heavy duty! Worked great to fit my Celestron C-11 to a smaller dovetail!!!

The product is of excellent quality there is no doubt about that however, product did not ship for a week. My advice is to purchase it directly through the Orion website and bypass Jeff Bezos.

Does just what it is supposed to do - it mates my Telescope equiped with Losmandy-style dovetail to a vixen-style mount. It is beefy and plenty adequate for most telescopes with no slop. I've paid a lot more for a DSLR camera-to-tripod mount. Good value.

For mounting on my iOptron iEQ30 Pro

I had previously purchased a vixen style dovetail to mount a C 9.25 OTA to a vixen style mount. My tube is older and there aren't any (that i can find) such dovetails that really mount to the OTA correctly, so the rail ends up being mounted at an angle to the line of sight of the scope. The Orion narrow to wide adapter allows me to keep the stock celestron losmandy style dovetail. The build quality is excellent. Spring loaded screws make attached and detaching your OTA easy, and area especially nice when balancing the scope.

The only way to convert from losmandy to vixen. easy to use, strong stability. Gooooood !
