Great book, I use it all the time

The best reference I've yet found for quickly identifying and authenticating the many manufacturers of the military 1911 and 1911A1 pistols. A must for serious collectors. Don't ever go to a gun show without it.

This is an excellent little book that is very useful and handy for the collector to carry at gun and trade shows to verify the originality and validity of collectible U.S. pistols and revolvers up to 1945. It is well illustrated with photos that can be used to verify the correctness of parts and markings of older pistols and revolvers. It is primarily a book for .45 Auto collectors. I wish it covered the Commercial Models of Colt .45 autos produced after WWII and into the 60's. Even so, it's a very worthwhile and very useful book at an attractive price.

This is a very good referance and fact book for any 1911 collector or wantabe collector. I was suprised with the amount of information contained within the covers of this book. I highly recommend it to everyone who is a fan and collector of firearms. Long may she wave, Freedom for ALL.

If You are a fan of the 1911, You need this book. It will save you money and increase your knowledge of this gun. Even if you have other references ( like 18 including a 3 volume set) You need this one. With it's ring binding it opens and lays flat to copy a page for your records. This is the one I take with me.

Well maybe FUN is a stretch but a good book to add to your reference library. EPG
